Optical Filters
• Plentiful options of types and sizes
• High transmission, deep blocking
• Broad transmission range
• Hard coated or custom design coated
Optical filters are used to selectively transmit or reject a wavelength or range of wavelengths. Their applications include fluorescence microscopy, spectroscopy, clinical chemistry, machine vision inspection, etc. Optical filters are widely used in light system of life science, imaging, industrial, or defense industries. For example, Bandpass interference filters are designed to transmit a portion of the spectrum, while rejecting all other wavelengths. Notch filters reject a portion of the spectrum, while transmitting all other wavelengths. Edge or dichroic filters transmit wavelengths that are either greater than the cut-on or shorter than the cut-off wavelengths. Color substrate filters utilize the material’s inherent adsorption and transmission properties, while neutral density filters evenly reduce transmission across a portion of the spectrum.
WISOPTIC offers a variety of optical filters for many applications, including crystalline material UV band pass filters, neutral density reflective type filters made from Corning 7059 glass and designed to operate at 400-2000 nm range, neutral density absorption type filters designed to operate at VIS (450-650 nm) and Schott color glass filters. Highly durable hard coatings are available for applications that require high optical densities with maximum performance.
