E-O Q-switch based on DKDP (KD*P) crystals are one of the most popular Pockels cells in the market.Deuterated potassium dihydrogen phosphate has good transmission from
390 nm to 1400 nm (0.39 μm – 1.4 μm) and combined with high

The EO Q-switch (Pockels cell) is an electro-optic device in which the crystal
produces linear changes in the birefringence of the crystal (in contrast
to the Kerr Effect, which is quadratic with E).
Pockels cells are essential components in various optical devices such
as Q-switches for lasers, free space electro-optical modulators, free
space switches. WISOPTIC use highly deuterated DKDP (KD*P) crystal (D%>99%) to make high quality Q-switches with high laser induced damage threshold.

Wisoptic’s optical mirrors are available for use with light in the UV,
VIS, and IR spectral regions. Optical mirrors with a metallic coating
have high reflectivity over the widest spectral region, whereas mirrors
with a broadband dielectric coating have a narrower spectral range of
operation; the average reflectivity throughout the specified region is
greater than 99%.

Right angle prisms

produces a left handed image and depending on the orientation of the
prism, the image may be inverted or reverted.

One of the most important drawbacks of popular LiNbO3 crystal is its
susceptibility to photorefractive damage (optically induced change of
refractive index, usually under exposure with blue or green CW light).
The usual way to eliminate this effect is to keep LN crystals at
elevated temperatures (400K or more). Another way to prevent
photorefractive damage is MgO-doping (usually at levels of around 5 mol%
for congruent LN).

A right angle prism is an optical prism designed to deviate light by 90° or 180°, depending on the orientation of the prism and the face through which light enters. The joining edges and faces are perpendicular to the base faces, and all joining faces are rectangular. They are often preferable to plane mirrors, because they are easier to mount and align.

Polarizing Beamsplitters (PBS) are
designed to split light by polarization state rather than
by wavelength or intensity. PBS are often used in
semiconductor or photonics instrumentation to transmit p-polarized light
while reflecting s-polarized light. Optical isolators use PBS to eliminate feedback-induced damage. PBS are typically designed for 0° or 45° angle of incidence
with a 90° separation of the beams, depending on the configuration.WISOPTIC offers a wide variety of PBS in a
range of configurations including plate, cube, or lateral displacement.

Compared to more commonly used KTP crystal, KTA
crystal has larger non-linear optical and electro-optical
coefficients. KTA has the added benefit of
significantly reduced absorption in the 2 to 5 μm region. It has found
more and more applications in second harmonic generation (SHG), sum and
difference frequency generation (SFG)/(DFG), optical parametric
oscillation/ amplification (OPO/OPA), and electro-optical Q-switching. WISOPTIC do in-house growing and processing KTA crystal with high optical quality and various options of dimensional and coating specifications.

Polarizing Beamsplitters (PBS) splits incident unpolarized light into two perpendicular linearly polarized light. Among them, p-polarized light passes through completely, while s-polarized light is reflected at 45 deg which makes the emitting direction of s-light vertical to p-light. Additionally, beamsplitters can be used in reverse to combine two
different beams into a single one. Beamsplitters are often classified
according to their construction:cube or plate.Cube PBS are fabricated using two typically right angle prisms.

Optical Prisms are widely used to redirect light at a designated angle. They are ideal for ray deviation, or for adjusting the orientation of an image. An optical prism’s design determines how light interacts with it. When light enters an optical prism, it either reflects off an individual surface or several surfaces before exiting, or is refracted as it travels through the substrate. WISOPTIC offers a wide range of optical prisms with various designs, substrates, or coatings.

Basically all Pockels cell drivers are made based on
solid-state electronic technology, using high voltage transistors such
as MOSFETs.
Multiple high voltage transistors may have to be stacked, taking care to
achieve an even distribution of voltage across those.
Instead of using some heavily isolated floating gate drive circuitry for
the different transistors, one may use certain advanced ideas such as
implementing so-called avalanche switch stacks involving avalanche
diodes and/or avalanche bipolar transistors.Device lifetimes can be very long, provided that properly engineered

Tm3+:YLF crystal has a high absorption peak around 792 nm which locates in the diode pumping range, and also has a cross-relaxation process that provides the possibility for each absorbed pump photon to produce to ions at higher laser energy level. Tm3+: YLF laser is very suitable as a pump source for Ho3+:YAG laser. This is due to the good overlap of the emission band of Tm3+:YLF and the absorption band of Ho3+:YAG, and the ability to produce a linearly polarized output.
